Fahey Named Director of the Cullman Chemoprotection Center

Jed Fahey, Sc.D., assistant professor in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology with secondary appointments in the Departments of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences (SOM) and International Health (BSPH) is now the director of the Cullman Chemoprotection Center (SOM). Dr. Fahey has been an integral part of the Cullman Center since its inception by Dr. Paul Talalay in 1993 and has served as its acting director since February 2015. He is joined in growing and guiding the center by Albena Dinkova-Kostova, Ph.D. presently at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, University of Dundee in Dundee, UK and an associate professor in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences (SOM).

The center occupies space in both the Rangos and Wood Basic Science Buildings. In addition to basic research on the development and application of plant-based compounds for the prevention and treatment of chronic disease, the Cullman Center collaborates on a range of clinical studies both domestically and internationally. Center faculty teach courses in the Schools of Medicine and Public Health and are seeking to develop research collaborations across the entire JHU community.

Dr. Fahey can be reached at 410-617-2607 or jfahey@jhmi.edu or visit chemoprotectioncenter.com.
