Choi receives National Kidney Foundation’s Garabed Eknoyan Award

Michael Choi, associate professor and clinical director of the Division of Nephrology, received the National Kidney Foundation’s Garabed Eknoyan Award recognizing his contributions to the Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative (KDOQI) and clinical research in the field of kidney disease.

Dr. Choi is a member of the National Kidney Foundation’s board of directors and vice chair of education for the National Kidney Foundation’s KDOQI. He is also co-editor of the chronic kidney disease section for the Nephrology Self-Assessment Program and serves on the editorial board for the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. His clinical and research interests include chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases and education.
