Mid-Career Faculty Career Development Seminar

The Association of American Medical Colleges will launch a new professional development program for mid-career minority faculty on September 18-19 at the Westin Buckhead Atlanta in Atlanta Georgia. The Department of Medicine Diversity Council will assist with travel expenses for one mid-career faculty member who is accepted to attend.

This seminar will address the specific needs of mid-career faculty and offer skill building strategies, networking opportunities, coaching sessions, CV review and observational learning opportunities with senior faculty members of other institutions. Small group career consultation sessions will also be available.

Registration opens this month. To register, you must be an associate professor and have a letter of support from the department chair, division chief or dean, complete a pre-seminar survey and submit an application packet.
