Developments from the Development Office

The Department of Medicine had a record-breaking fiscal year for 2015, raising nearly $44 million in gifts, grants and pledges, our highest total in the past five years. Johns Hopkins Medicine benefits from a strong tradition of philanthropy, especially from our grateful patients. The development office also works with foundations and corporations who want to partner on specific projects.

We are off to a strong start in fiscal year 2016, raising $3,261,636 as of September 30, 2015. Donna Bolin has been promoted to senior associate director working with the Divisions of Rheumatology and Infectious Diseases. Carly Frank began as associate director covering General Internal Medicine including Executive Health and the Osler House Staff Program, as well as the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center on October 26.

Thank you to the many faculty and staff members who work with the Development Office to facilitate ongoing relationships with donors. If you have any questions, or would like to talk with a member of the development staff about a fundraising priority for fiscal year 2016, please contact Ashlyn Sowell, senior director of development, at 410-955-9880 or asowell2@jhmi.edu.
