Mark Donowitz, professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, will receive the Distinguished Achievement Award in Basic Science from the American Gastroenterological Association at an awards ceremony in May. Established in 1968, the award recognizes senior investigators who have made major accomplishments in basic science research that have significantly advanced the science and/or practice of gastroenterology.
