The Department of Medical Nursing is pleased to announce that effective March 6, 2016, Eleni Flanagan, MSN, MBA, RN-BC, will be appointed the Assistant Director of Nursing. In her new role, Eleni will oversee in-patient and procedural nursing operations for the department.
Eleni is an exceptional leader with over 11 years of nursing leadership and operational experience. In fact, over the last 20 years, she has served the Department of Medicine in many capacities: ICU nurse clinician, shift coordinator, case manager and nurse manager for three different units. Most recently, she served as the nurse manager for the Cardiology Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) and interim nurse manager for Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology labs.
Eleni earned bachelor's degrees in both nursing and human resources from the University Delaware before completing master's degrees in nursing and business administration from The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.
