The Department of Medicine had a strong month of December and the fundraising total is $10,743,621 in gifts and pledges as of January 19, 2016. Gifts to the DOM have funded a website for patient education about a specific disease, helped to recruit a promising fellow to the faculty, endowed a lectureship in memory of a loved one and helped to fund an endowed chair. Gifts have supported current research projects and programs as well as increased our endowment, providing an increased ability to plan for the future.
Our development team is fully staffed and working regularly in partnership with the faculty and grateful patients to achieve our philanthropic vision. We are fortunate to receive gifts in many ways, including cash, securities, via retirement accounts and bequests.
