Michael Fingerhood, associate professor and chief of the Division of Chemical Dependency, is chairing this year's 47th annual conference of the American Society of Addiction Medicine which will be held on April 14-17 at the Baltimore Hilton at Camden Yards. Over 1,300 participants have already registered for the event, selling out close to three hotels in the area. Speakers include Peter Shumlin, governor of Vermont, Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and William Miller, "creator" of motivational interviewing.
