Hopkins Technology Aiding in TB Elimination

Harris Country Texas Public Health Environmental Services was recently named a 2016 TB Elimination Champion for use of Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Their success is largely based on their use of miDOT, a smartphone-based technology for DOT developed by Maunank Shah, assistant professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, and built by emocha Mobile Health Inc., a platform developed by Robert Bollinger, Larry Chang, Jane McKenzie-White (all members of the DOM) and Miguel Sitjar.
