The Social Innovation Lab at Johns Hopkins University will host its annual Impact+Innovation Forum on Thursday, April 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Chevy Chase Bank Conference Center (Zayed).
SIL incubates innovative non-profits, mission-driven companies and disruptive technologies and inventions tackling social issues in Baltimore and beyond. The event on April 21st will feature talks from SIL’s 2015-16 Cohort of social ventures led by Baltimore-area residents and JHU students from various disciplines. You’ll hear from a team revolutionizing how orthotic devices are made in order to more efficiently get these devices to those in need, as well as a team leading an online platform that digitally empowers K-12 students in Baltimore to showcase and fund their academic needs, among others.
This event will also include remarks from President Daniels, Sheila Herrling, senior vice president for Social Innovation at the Case Foundation and Jessica Ladd, TED Fellow and a past SIL cohort member.
