American College of Physicians Award: Lindsey Phillips
Presented to the member of the Osler Medicine Housestaff who demonstrates excellence in patient care, mentorship, teaching and leadership.
Frank L. Coulson Jr. Award: John Miller and Ben Oldfield
This honor is awarded to the NP/PA in each department who exemplifies clinical excellence. The award recognizes resident phyiscians who achieve a level of mastery in the following areas of patient care: i. communication & interpersonal skills, ii. professionalism and humanism, iii. diagnostic acumen, iv. skillful negotiation of the healthcare system, v. knowledge, vi. scholarly approach to clinical practice and exhibiting a passion for patient care.
Norman and Mary Stewart Memorial Award: Shannon Walker
Presented to the Osler medical housestaff intern who has demonstrated superlative consideration to the complexities of inpatient medicine with compassionate, comprehensive and thoughtful attention to the comfort and dignity of their patients
Norman Anderson, M.D. Memorial Award: Sandy Zaeh
As voted by faculty and nursing in recognition of that member of the Osler medicine housestaff who has demonstrated outstanding, compassionate care in the ambulatory setting, exemplifying the tradition of dedication that defines a great physician.
Priya Palagummi Memorial Award: Erin Parry
The Priya Palagummi award is given annually to the member of the Osler Residency Program who embodies Priya Palagummi’s passionate spirit as a caring physician, an ardent advocate for colleagues, and an inspiring role model for women physicians in training. The recipient exemplifies the Osler tradition through leadership, strength of character and unswerving pursuit of excellence.
Daniel Baker Award: Brett Wanamaker
As voted by faculty and nursing and given to that member of the Osler Medical Housestaff who, during the year, has been most outstanding in providing attentive, sympathetic and devoted care to patients, in the best tradition of the art of the practice of medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
