Developments from the Development Office

We have raised $6,845,793 this year toward a goal of $20,250,000. A few large commitments that came in the first quarter are a $667,326 bequest intention for the Myositis Center, a total of $500,000 for the Amos Center for Food, Body and Mind in the Center for Innovative Medicine and $300,000 for the Vasculitis Center.

A new advisory board has been formed for the Osler House Staff and the first meeting was held on June 30, led by Mario Molina, M.D. (H.S. 1987).  The main purpose of the Osler Advisory Board is to advocate, advise and philanthropically support the Osler Medical Training Program with a current emphasis on the Pathways Program. If you have any nominations for this group, please let us know!

On November 3, we were pleased to participate in a DOM Women’s Task Force event focused on philanthropy and grateful patients. If you were not able to attend, but are interested in the materials, please contact our office.

As we approach the holidays and the season of giving, many people will be considering making a contribution to Johns Hopkins Medicine. If we can assist in any way by speaking with potential donors, providing information about ways to give or even picking up checks from your office, please let us know!
