Nimgaonkar Wins QuickFire Challenge Grant

Ashish Nimgaonkar, assistant professor in Gastroenterology and co-founder and CEO of Glyscend, Inc., was recently awarded a $500,000 grant from Johnson & Johnson LLC and Janssen Research & Development, LLC as part of the World Without Disease QuickFire Challenge at the 2016 Partnering for Cures conference. Glyscend aims to revolutionize the treatment for metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity by reducing the concept of gastric bypass surgery into a pill.
