Sears Named Vice President of the Infectious Diseases Society of America

Cynthia Sears, professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, was recently elected vice president of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (ISDA), the most prestigious infectious diseases organization in the world. After serving as vice president for one year, she will become president-elect and then president in 2018, following Paul Auwaerter, professor in ID and current president-elect.

The IDSA aims to improve the health of individuals, communities and society by promoting excellence in patient care, education, research, public health and prevention relating to infectious diseases.
