The overall goal of the 2016-2017 Brancati Center Pilot Research Grant Program is to support research related to substance misuse in Baltimore City. The center seeks to fund novel but mature research plans that have potential to provide convincing data that will either (1) offer ways to immediately improve community-based care or (2) garner external funding to support more definitive work on substance use in urban settings.
This pilot research program will complement an ongoing Brancati Center diabetes prevention and management community partnership-based service program and an educational training program, both within Hopkins and in the community. An award of up to $25,000, each for one year, will be made with a projected start date of April 1, 2017.
Deadline: February 1, 2017
