Richard Chaisson, professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, is currently in Dharamsala, India with fellow Kunchok Dorjee where they traveled to launch a project to eliminate TB in refugee Tibetan schoolchildren in India called Zero TB in Tibetan Kids. They met with the Dalai Lama, the Prime Minister of the Government in Exile, the Speaker of the Parliament and numerous other religious and governmental leaders. The Dalai Lama filmed a PSA to support the project and spoke at length about the importance of their work.
