Accelerated Translational Incubator Pilot Program (ATIP) Grant

Open to all Johns Hopkins Faculty

The milestone-driven Accelerated Translational Incubator Pilot (ATIP) program provides up to $100,000 over twelve months in targeted funding and project management for faculty conducting translational research projects. The ICTR is now requesting applications with a deadline for submission by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017Any Johns Hopkins University faculty member interested in starting a translational project is eligible to apply, however awarded PIs may not apply for a new ATIP project within the twenty-four months following receipt of their initial award funds. Grants are for up to $100,000 in direct costs and may not be used for faculty salary with the exception of research associate support. Posted with this RFA are an ATIP Program FAQ with more specific information about the program and application process, as well as the Project Readiness ChecklistProject Schedule Template, Budget Template and NIH Biosketch Template which are required components of the ATIP application. Also available is the resource entitled, ATIP Application: Development of Milestones and Project Schedules which provides guidance for development of study schedules.

PLEASE NOTE:  If selected for funding, applicants whose pilots involve human subject’s research must submit a document package to NCATS for final approval. Please see the Regulatory Requirements/Approvals section of this RFA for additional information.
