I am pleased to share that we have completed the third quarter of the fiscal year and have reached our goal early! We have raised $22,869,010 toward our goal of $20,250,000. Congratulations to all of our fundraising partners. Of course, we will continue to work hard during the fourth quarter and hope to secure more gifts and commitments to support the work of the Department of Medicine.
A few highlights include:
- A bequest intention for $1,279,520 to the Scleroderma Center Endowed Fund
- A gift of $401,604 to The Joseph S. & Esther Handler Endowed Research Fund in Nephrology
- A gift of $50,000 from the Brassica Foundation to support the Cullman Chemoprotection Center Discovery Fund
I am also pleased to share that Ann Koch has been promoted to Senior Director of Foundation Relations at Johns Hopkins University. Our team has been working closely with Ann and her staff. If you have ideas about foundations that we should approach for support, or if you have connections to foundations or their board members that might be useful, please let me know. While we focus primarily on grateful patient fundraising, foundations can also be great sources of funding, especially for medical research.
As always, please contact me if I can be of any assistance. Thanks and happy spring!
