Fisher Center Discovery Program

Funding for clinical or translational research related to environmental infectious diseases. Provides resources for pilot or clinical studies that may lack traditional funding mechanisms. Promotes novel, cross-disciplinary collaborative clinical research among JHU schools and with non-JHU research partners. To facilitate the careers of early-career investigators.

Eligibility: All full time JHU faculty members, especially junior faculty, are encouraged to apply. Only JHU faculty members holding a terminal degree may apply as Principal Investigator (PI). Hopkins-affiliated postdoctoral fellows, housestaff, medical school students, PhD students, graduate students and undergraduate students may submit an application, but a faculty member needs to serve as PI.

Award Amount: Up to $50,ooo
