Nestoras Mathioudakis, assistant professor in the Division of Endocrinology, was elected to the national Epic Endocrinology Specialty Steering Board, which provides a network for specialists across organizations to define the gold standard for Epic adoption and provides guidance for endocrinology specialists across the country. It consists of 12 members who have been nominated and elected by their peers. This year, members come from various academic institutions and healthcare organizations, including Duke, University of Michigan, Mt Sinai, CentraCare, Providence Healthcare and others. The standards that the boards define will serve as a highly visible guide of best practices for specialists worldwide and will become part of the Epic Foundation System.
Dr. Mathioudakis joins Jennifer Townsend, who was elected to the Infectious Disease board.
