On September 1, we launched our fundraising campaign for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to cure childhood cancer. Please visit our Million Mile Smile site and contribute to this important cause: https://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/1363043
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was started by an inspirational 4 year old little girl, Alex Scott, after she was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer (neuroblastoma). Alex held lemonade stands in her driveway to raise money to find cures for children with cancer. Sadly, Alex passed away when she was just 8 years old. Her parents, Liz and Jay Scott, are remarkable people and have carried on Alex’s valiant effort to cure childhood cancer. Both Liz and Jay quit their jobs to work for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and they have made incredible progress towards ending childhood cancer. Today, thanks to Alex and her family, many more children will be cured of cancer!
The goal for the entire organization is 1 million miles during the month of September- thus the name, the Million Mile Run! Participants can run, walk, bike, swim or even row. In fact, any way you want to go is fine!
Thank you all for your contributions to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation!
