On Sept 11, JHH employees were honored in the annual Employee Appreciation Service Awards held in Turner Auditorium including Regina Porter, RN, PCCU, who received an award for 40 years of hospital service. Each year, 10 recipients receive a Baker-King Award which acknowledges nonsupervisory staff members who have performed in an outstanding fashion. Nominations are competitive, and winners receive a check, certificate and pin. Kayshawn Carter, clinical technician from the Medical Intensive Care Unit was one of the 10 recipients this year. We applaud Kayshawn and his work in the MICU.
The Back to School Drive was a huge success!
We filled an amazing 68 backpacks and donated many other supplies to local school children in need.
A huge thank you goes out to the following people who received compliments this month:
CCU and PCCU at JHH, CCU at Bayview and Cardiology Admin Office: "Thank you for your time, knowledge, dedication and sincere consideration. This goes from the receptionist who greets us at the door up to the person in charge."
Congratulations to all getting service awards but especially Regina Porter. I'm an RN who retired from JHH three years ago after 40 years of service. It's quite an amazing accomplishment!
