Doris Duke Charitable Foundation Clinical Scientist Development Award

The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation Clinical Scientist Development Award provides grants to junior physician scientists to facilitate their transition to independent clinical research careers. Pre-proposal applications are being sought from physician scientists at the assistant professor level conducting clinical research in any disease area. Click here to find out more about the eligibility criteria.

Application Deadlines:

  • Pre-Proposals Due: December 1, 2017
  • Invitation to submit full proposal: January 19, 2018
  • Full proposals due: March 16, 2018
  • Award Start Date: July 1, 2018

The Clinical Scientist Development Award does not require institutional nomination. This competition employs a two-stage process. Pre-proposal applications will be reviewed and up to 50 applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by January 19, 2018.
