On Nov. 1, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine introduced a Senior Faculty Transition Program (SFTP) which offers two distinct and voluntary pathways to retirement for professors and associate professors with contract to retirement. The new retirement options were a result of 2016 recommendations made by the Dean’s Task Force on Senior Faculty Support and Transitions. In mid-October, HR mailed and emailed letters to eligible faculty which outlines the details of the program and next steps for participation.
In order to provide specifics of the program and answer questions, the SFTP Workgroup is offering three information sessions to faculty over the next few weeks. All faculty are welcome to attend.
To RSVP, email [email protected] with your preferred session day/time.
Informational Session Dates/Times:
- November 15, Noon –1 p.m., Welch Library, West Reading Room
- November 29, 3–4 p.m., MRB 125
- December 6, Noon – 1 p.m., Welch Library, West Reading Room
