The Addiction Medicine Foundation Board has approved accreditation of the Johns Hopkins University Addiction Medicine Fellowship. This one-year fellowship, led by Darius Rastegar, associate professor in the Division of Chemical Dependence, will be open to applicants with internal medicine or family medicine training beginning July 2018. Fellows will receive training in providing treatment for individuals with substance use disorders in a variety of settings, including primary care, hospital based treatment units, free standing treatment programs and methadone maintenance programs. After completing the training, fellows will be eligible for Addiction Medicine certification.
