Members of the DOM were recognized by Vice Dean for Education Roy Ziegelstein at the December Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) meeting for their successful quality improvement projects related to high value care. Award recipients receive a High Value All Star certificate and a $100 check to use for a high value celebration.
From infectious diseases, Masako Mizusawa, Christopher Kauffman, Lisa Maragakis, Karen Carroll and Clare Rock were recognized for their project entitled "Impact on Test Utilization and Patient Outcome of Hard-Stops at Order Entry for Clostridium difficile Nucleic Acid Amplification Testing."
Paul O'Rourke in Bayview Internal Medicine was recognized along with his group for their project "Infusing High Value Care Education Directly into Patient Care on the Medicine Wards."
