Happy New Year from the Development Office! We’d like to share that we have raised $13,249,806 to date in gifts, grants and pledges.

A few highlights include:

  • An anonymous gift of $250K for Zero TB in Tibetan Kids Program in Infectious Disease
  • The Nathan and Margaret Shock Aging Research Foundation gift of $387,569 to establish the Nathan Shock Endowed Scholar Award Fund in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology
  • Neil Kadisha made a commitment of $500K for The Neil Kadisha Fund for Hematology Research in the Division of Hematology

We are pleased to announce that Stephanie Cohen has been promoted to assistant director of development. In this role, she will focus on stewardship, communications, special events and annual giving, assisting many of the divisions in the Department of Medicine. Stephanie joined our team in 2010 and has done a great job with our high volume of gift processing and acknowledgements as well as assisting with general office support.

Thank you to the many people who sent us checks and contacted us about patients who wanted to make year–end gifts. As a reminder, our phone number is 410-550-9802, the general website for giving is https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/Medicine/about-us/charitable_giving/ and our physical address is:

The Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine
5200 Eastern Avenue
MFL Center Tower, Suite 356

We also have a development mailbox in the mailroom on the 9th floor of the 1830 Building. Please let us know if you leave a check there so we can pick it up promptly.
