The Johns Hopkins Health System High Value Care Committee was recently named the recipient of the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM)’s Award of Excellence in Teamwork in QI. The committee’s goal is to improve patient care quality while eliminating wasteful practices across the health system.

Flora Kissule, assistant professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine, was named the recipient of the SHM's Award of Excellence in Outstanding Service in Hospital Medicine. This award recognizes individuals who promote and advance the field of hospital medicine, are innovators in hospital or medical groups, show leadership in organized medicine within the local, regional and/or national community and/or have made contributions in public policy.
