Padmini Ranasinghe, assistant professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine, was elected to the American Medical Association's (AMA) Council on Science and Public Health at the Annual Meeting in Chicago this month. She is one of three new members who will serve a four-year term. She was selected after a competitive election involving all medical specialties and state medical societies.
