Download LiveSafe from the App Store or Google Play for real-time, two-way communication between the Department of Corporate Security and members of the Johns Hopkins community on the East Baltimore campus. Once downloaded, register and fill out your profile. Select your organization as Johns Hopkins, then select your campus location and affiliation. With this app, you can:
- Connect with Corporate Security communications officers by phone call or text to report a safety concern or suspicious activity, or to request assistance. Our officers will monitor the calls and text messages, and can conduct a two-way chat. You will be able to upload an image, video or audio file. (Please be aware that Corporate Security cannot determine an app user’s location unless that person reaches out for help.)
- Access resources, such as a security walking escort, campus maps, and corporate security’s emergency phone numbers and procedures.
- Use GPS in the virtual buddy system to help make sure you, your friends and colleagues safely reach a destination.
