Alvanzo Named Distinguished Fellow

Anika Alvanzo, assistant professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, was named a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). This is a prestigious designation reserved for those who have invested their heart, time and energy contributing to the field of addiction medicine. Anika will be honored at the ASAM Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida in April.

Anika was also an invited speaker at the Medicaid and Chip Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) meeting in Washington, DC regarding the impact of utilization management policies on access to medications for substance use disorder treatment. Below is an article that was written about the session.
