Hugh Calkins, professor in the Division of Cardiology, was recently awarded the 2019 Founders Lectureship Award from the Heart Rhythm Society. This award recognizes prominent members of the heart rhythm community who have made a significant and unique contribution to the field of cardiac pacing and electrophysiology. Hugh was presented this awards at the 40th Annual Scientific Sessions of the Heart Rhythm Society in San Francisco in May.
