Overview

Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures, JHU's unit that facilitates intellectual property protection and commercialization of Hopkins research, has fellowship openings for graduate students. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals seeking exposure and experience working in a fast-paced business environment.

General Summary of Responsibilities (varying by position)

  • patent research and literature review to obtain references considered relevant in the art
  • agreement monitoring and report tracking
  • analysis of technology licensing agreement data
  • interaction with licensing and financial professionals on license cases and financial data
  • market landscape research and generation of marketing materials
  • identification of industry specific project opportunities
  • email marketing campaigns and follow-up on leads generated

Preferred traits & skills

  • S. resident or legal permanent resident, due to federal export controls
  • ability to commit 10-19.9 hours per week for at least 1 year*
  • ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • attention to detail
  • friendly, engaging personality
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

* School of Medicine PhD students limited to 16 hours per week: PI approval required
