The inaugural Hepatitis Summit: Elimination of Hepatitis in Maryland is the culmination of extensive community and public health, academic, local, state and federal collaborations aimed to support the eradication of hepatitis B and C infections in our state.
The Hepatitis Summit is an all-day event on Monday, November 25, 2019 held in the Albert Owens Auditorium on the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore medical campus. The program is hosted by the Maryland Department of Health, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Maryland Hepatitis Coalition, Baltimore City Health Department, Sisters Together and Reaching, Inc and our patient advocates and community members. The goal of the summit is to bring together medical experts, politicians, community members, researchers, the media, patients and public health advocates to reflect on the vast accomplishments achieved in viral hepatitis prevention, diagnosis and treatment as well as the important steps necessary to achieve sustained elimination goals.
There is free parking for the event with breakfast and lunch provided. Please direct questions to Sherilyn Brinkley [email protected].
