Berkenblit, Garibaldi, Sateia and Thavarajah Elected to Miller Coulson Academy

Gail Berkenblit, assistant professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Brian Garibaldi, associate professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Heather Sateia, assistant professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, and Sumeska Thavarajah, assistant professor in the Division of Nephrology, were selected to be part of the 2020 cohort of the Miller Coulson Academy of Clinical Excellence. They are four of nine physicians throughout the School of Medicine to receive this honor, which recognizes them as exceptional clinicians who are committed to excellence in patient care. They will be inducted to the academy at the 12th annual Excellence in Patient Care Symposium on March 27.

Based on JHM’s response to the global COVID-19 epidemic, we regret to inform you that we will need to cancel our Annual Excellence in Patient Care Symposium, scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2020, 11:30-1 @ the Chevy Chase Conference Center.

The Miller Coulson Academy of Clinical Excellence is committed to the welfare of the entire JHM community.

We are deeply appreciative of your tireless efforts to provide excellent care to all patients.

The celebration of clinical excellence at our Symposium is truly the highlight of Hopkins’ academic calendar. We are so sorry that we are not able to hold the event this year.

Thank you for understanding.

The symposium is sponsored by the Johns Hopkins Center for Innovative Medicine.
