Inpatient & Ambulatory: Covid-19 Information for Patients [CRITICAL!]

  • A link to the CDC’s webpage, on preventing spread of COVID-19, and information from the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), are available in the Clinical References activity. More resources will be added to this site, and will include translations in Spanish and other languages
  • If preferred, the following three SmartPhrases [dot phrases] are available for immediate use:
    • .COVID19PTINFO (JHM information page, which may be used in Patient Instructions and MyChart messages):
    • .COVID19PTINFOTEXT: A text only version of the JHM information page above
    • .COVID19INFO(SPANISH): A Spanish version of the CDC information page

Inpatient & Ambulatory: Additional Note Types Available for Entry in Haiku and Canto

  • The following new note types are now available in Haiku and Canto:
    • Brief Op Note
    • Critical Care Progress Note
    • Discharge Summary
    • Evaluation
    • Note
    • Operative Note
    • Plan of Care
    • Telephone Encounter
  • The "Letters" note type is no longer available in Haiku and Canto, although is available via the Communications activity in Hyperspace

Inpatient & Ambulatory: Changes to Specimen Types for Ordering Urine Cultures

  • The following specimen types are available for urine cultures:
    • Urine, catheterized (indwelling)
    • Urine, catheterized (straight cath)
    • Urine, clean catch
    • Urine, ileal conduit
    • Urine, nephrostomy
    • Urine, post-prostatic massage
    • Urine, pre-prostatic massage
    • Urine, supra pubic tap
    • Urine, transplant
    • Urine, urostomy
    • “Urine, Other,”” Urine, Catheterized,” and “Urine, Catheter” are no longer available

Inpatient: New JHM CHF Discharge Order Set [All Entities]

  • Search for the JHM General Adult CHF Discharge Order Set which will auto populate for patients with a heart failure diagnosis on the hospital problem list.
  • Patient-Friendly Reason for Hospitalization [Heart Failure - Fluid Overload], Discharge diet, daily weight and follow-up orders default.
