SOM Annual Required Training

As part of your annual training requirements, the bundle titled “SOM Annual Required Training – 2020” has been placed on your Learning Plan in myLearning. All School of Medicine faculty and staff are required to complete SOM Annual Required Training – 2020 by July 31, 2020 or within new hire training requirements (consult with your supervisor).

The bundle contains the following five courses:

• Compliance Basics 2020
• Electronic Information Security and Data Management Training 2020
• Patient Privacy for Workforce Members 2020
• Language Services for Patients, Family, and Friends: Best Practices in the Use of Language Services 2020
• Preparing for an Active Assailant in the Clinical & Non-Clinical Environment 2020

Each course takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.

To access a course:

1. Log in to http://my.jhu.edu with your JHED ID and password.
2. Hover over the Education tab. Select myLearning.
3. Click My Plan.
4. Click the Auto-Enrollments tab. Then locate and click SOM Annual Required Training – 2020.
5. Click one of the course titles. A new screen will open up for you to start the course. (Your pop-up blockers must be disabled.)
6. You must complete all courses in order for the bundle to be marked as COMPLETE and moved to your My History page in myLearning.
