2020-2021 Flu Vaccination Policy

As you are aware, it will be more crucial than ever this year for people to get a flu vaccination, as efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 continue. JHM is requiring that during the COVID-19 pandemic all Johns Hopkins Medicine faculty, staff, students, providers and trainees, regardless of role, employer or workplace location, must receive a flu vaccination for the 2020–21 season — unless a person is granted a medical or religious exception.

The compliance deadline is November 20, 2020.

Free flu shots are being offered starting September 21, 2020 on campus by appointment or on certain clinical department units. View the Occupational Health Services website for the vaccine form, dates and location.

OR

Employees can also receive a vaccination with proper documentation (your Hopkins ID badge) at any Walgreens pharmacy in the country – free of charge, including in Maryland, D.C., and Florida. You must keep your slip for documentation for campus admittance.

OR

Request a medical or religious exception by November 10, 2020. Find the request form here.

OR

Submit proof of vaccination from any hospital and/or outside entity (e.g., CVS, doctor’s office) by using the self-reporting website.
