Ambulatory: Telemedicine => Cisco WebEx Support Tips

  • Apple iOS version 14.2 giving patients and providers delayed audio connection
    • This is NOT a Cisco problem; this is an Apple iOS problem
    • Workaround Options:
      • Wait two minutes within the video visit until audio initiates [self-resolve after ~ 2 minutes]
      • Use alternative device not running iOS 14.2
      • Use dial in option [you MUST sign in to Cisco]
      • Apple will provide a solution through a new iOS update
    • Sign in to Cisco WebEx here to take full advantage of Cisco’s features
  • Use JHED_ID@jh.edu
  • “Sign in” once every 90 days on a private workstation
    • Take full advantage of Cisco’s features
    • Dial in only options for attendees
    • Access to future enhancements
    • Contribute to improved analytics

Inpatient & Ambulatory: COVID Test Priorities

  • To improve Epic system performance pending COVID tests for symptomatic patients will NOT be displayed with the PUI flag in the COVID-19 column
  • Hover over the PUI flag in Storyboard to view the test priorities

Inpatient & Ambulatory: MyChart => Patient-Entered Wishes

  • Patients can respond to prompts about their wishes related to end of life care in My Chart
  • These comments flow to the Patient-Entered Wishes section in the “Capacity & Advance Care Planning” activity

Please review and incorporate into plans and discussions with patients
