Associate Vice Chair for Ambulatory Quality and Safety

We are searching for a talented faculty member to serve as the inaugural Associate Vice Chair for Ambulatory Quality and Safety in the Department of Medicine.

Ambulatory care has tremendous power to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients and community. Accordingly, we recognize the need to partner with patients and caregivers to meet and exceed care quality standards, eliminate preventable harm and improve value in our department’s nearly 90 ambulatory practices across our East Baltimore, Bayview and School of Medicine satellite locations.

The AVC for Ambulatory Quality and Safety will coordinate multidisciplinary efforts by clinical practice and divisional leaders to improve quality, safety, patient experience and value. This individual will represent the Department of Medicine in Johns Hopkins Health System-level forums and will help practice leaders align their quality goals with health system priorities. They will guide clinical practices through the expanding sets of value-based metrics encompassing primary and specialty care. They will serve as a resource for quality improvement and safety methodology.

The role will report jointly to the Vice Chair of Quality and Safety and to the Vice Chair of Ambulatory Operations.

If you are interested in applying, please see the request for applications here. The deadline for applications is Thursday, April 1.
