Entela Mulla was named Assistant Administrator for Finance and Operations in the Department of Medicine beginning March 1. In this role, she will be responsible for accuracy and timeliness of faculty hiring and compensation processes as well as support the divisions in the areas of account payables, HR processes, reporting and other compliance and financial deadlines. She will collaborate with the DOM divisions to identify opportunities to improve their financial effectiveness and achieve financial targets.
Entela had previously held a variety of senior financial management positions including Accounting Manager at Chimes International, Director of Finance and Controller at the National Center on Institutions and Alternatives. In these roles, she had financial responsibility for company’s financial functions, including accounting, audit and compliance. In 2012, she was recognized for outstanding service and received the Ina & Norman Lampner Achievement Award at Chimes International. She was also recognized as being a top five best employee of the company for three years.
Entela received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Tirana, and graduated as one of the top 20 students. She earned a Business Analytics Certificate from Harvard Business School online and has currently earned all the educational credits to become a CPA in Maryland.
