Jonathan K. Leer, MHA, MSA, CHFP was named the administrator for the Division of Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology effective January 24, 2022.
Originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas, Jonathan moved to Texas to attend Texas Christian University. He then earned two master’s degrees in accounting and healthcare administration from the University of Texas at Arlington where he is now an adjunct professor teaching healthcare finance and accounting in their MHA program. Most recently, he served coincidently as the financial analysis manager in Sponsored Programs Administration and the manager of clinical practices within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Jonathan is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional through the Healthcare Financial Management Association and is working toward his licensure as a Certified Medical Practice Executive through the Medical Group Management Association.
Jonathan recently moved from the Dallas-Fort Worth area to the East Coast along with his wife, two daughters and dog. He looks forward to tackling new challenges in his role as division administrator of Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology.
