Sears Named Editor in Chief of the Journal of Infectious Diseases

Dr. Cynthia Sears, professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, was named the next Editor in Chief of the Journal of Infectious Diseases, the pre-eminent research journal of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) beginning July 2022. She was selected by the search committee based on her qualifications, vision for the future and commitment to diversity, inclusion, access and equity within the field of infectious diseases.
