Montemayor Named Longcope Firm Faculty Leader

Dr. Kristina Montemayor, assistant professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, will take over as the firm faculty leader for the Longcope Firm of the Osler Medical Residency. Dr. Montemayor will succeed Dr. Carrie Herzke in mentoring the residents and fellow faculty members on the Longcope Firm.

Dr. Montemayor graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio with a bachelor's degree in nursing in 2004. She worked as a nurse for five years before starting medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She came to Hopkins in 2013 to complete an internal medicine residency in the Osler program. She then completed a fellowship in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care before joining the Hospitalist Program at JHH in 2016. During her time at Hopkins, she has proven to be an effective leader, and we look forward to the future of the firm under her direction.
