Shah Receives ACGME Back to Bedside Grant

Dr. Anna Shah, PGY-2 resident physician in the Primary Care Track of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Internal Medicine Residency and member of the Department of Medicine Medical Education Pathway, is the recipient of a highly-competitive national Back to Bedside grant from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for her project, “Optimizing Care for the Whole Person – an Intervention to Promote a Holistic Approach to Patient Care.”

Along with financial support, Dr. Shah will be part of a national collaborative through ACGME to support her educational intervention. Her primary mentors on this project are Dr. Paul O’Rourke, assistant professor in GIM and associate program director for the Bayview Internal Medicine Residency, and Dr. Colleen Christmas, associate professor in GIM and director of the Primary Care Leadership Track.
