Dr. Deok-Ho Kim, associate professor of Biomedical Engineering and Medicine in the Division of Cardiology, recently received the 2022 Engineer of the Year Award from the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association and the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies.
The Engineer of the Year Award is given annually in recognition of a member who has made outstanding technical contributions in the areas of engineering. Dr. Kim was honored for his contributions to the development of engineered biomaterials/devices and human stem cell/tissue engineering technologies for biomedical applications. He was recognized at the 35th US-Korea Conference 2022 on Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship in August.
