Gupta Receives Research in Action Award

Dr. Amita Gupta, professor and director of the Division of Infectious Diseases, recently received a Research in Action Award from the Treatment Action Group (TAG). This award honors researchers, activists and leaders who are fighting with us to end HIV, HCV and TB. Dr. Gupta was recognized at an event on November 14 for her contributions to TB and HIV research globally. She is faculty co-chair of the Johns Hopkins Gupta-Klinsky India Institute and specializes in public health, prevention and treatment of HIV, TB and antimicrobial resistance in India and other low- and middle-income settings.

Dr. Kelly Dooley, former DOM faculty and director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, was also recognized.
