Dr. Jessica Queen, assistant professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, is a 2022 recipient of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund's Career Award for Medical Scientists. This is a highly competitive program that provides funding over five years for physician-scientists who are committed to an academic career in order to bridge advanced postdoctoral/fellowship training and the early years of faculty service. Dr. Queen will study "A Microbiota-Induced Switch to Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor Responsiveness in Colon Cancer."
