Happy Nurses Week!

Happy Nurses Week! National Nurses Week occurs every year from May 6-12 in honor of the birthday of Florence Nightingale, known to be the founder of modern nursing. Nurses have an immeasurable impact in each of arm of our tripartite mission. From creating teachable moments for our trainees, to being compassionate care givers, to contributing to clinical patient research and academic literature, nurses are at the core of our mission and vision.

The theme of this year’s National Nurses Week is: making a difference. In every role and in every care setting, Johns Hopkins nurses make a difference by delivering expert, compassionate care and by driving collaboration and innovation to move health care forward. During this Nurses Week, take a moment to celebrate our amazing nursing colleagues or send a custom e-card on the Applause platform to show your appreciation.

We hope all of our nurses were able to attend some of the celebrations happening around Hopkins. Check out these Nurses Week freebies to keep the celebrations going.
