Dr. Corey Tapper, assistant professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, is taking on a new role with the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM). He was recently named chair of the AAHPM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee for the 2023-2024 year.
"Under my leadership this year, we will be revamping the Academy's DEI strategic plan and creating a workshop on allyship and leveraging privilege for the direct benefit of those who currently and historically experience bias and prejudice," Dr. Tapper said in a written statement.
